Early Learning & Care

BAEC has been a pilot centre for the new Level 5 Certificate in Early Learning and Care. This is a one-year full-time programme enabling the learner to acquire the knowledge and skills to work with children from birth to six years across a range of early learning and care settings, including special needs. The course requires each student to complete 150 hours of work experience in an ELC setting after completing their Garda vetting. After successful completion, the learner can progress into further and higher education and training.

The syllabus for each of the modules will be available to download from BAEC's website soon.
